Looking for a new addiction...

So I'm in the midst of a search for something new to take away my CS:S addiction. I'm looking for a fairly deep and lengthy RPG or strategy game - single or multiplayer. Right now I'm looking at Guild Wars and Rome: Total War. If anybody has any opinions on these two games (or any other suggestions except WoW), it'd be much appreciated. Thanks!

If you have a PS2, play Final Fantasy X or Star Ocean: Till the End of Time. I have both of them and they both RAWK! :headbang:

I've beaten FFX and I just got Star Ocean.

Non-FPS would probably be ideal. Something to remind you that there are games that don't require precision split-second aim.

Rome: Total War kicks some serious ass.

well fine, these are somewhat addicting and fun but i dont know how interested u would be

Manhunt - gruesome, watch out
Flatout - think destruction derby 2005
GTA: San Anderas - now out for PC!
NFSU2 - i think is under 40$, maybe thats only consoles

and well, yea, check em out if ya can, all i could really think of non-fps

I second the opinion on FFX. Same goes for FFVII/VIII for the PC too, if you can find them.

Ah thanks for all the opinions - I have beaten FF7/FF8 and Baldur's Gate II, so I was looking more for a newer game. Definitely looking for a non-FPS, so Rome: Total War and Guild Wars were my top two choices. I've heard good things about both, but I don't know about the lasting power of Guild Wars - people have said they got bored with it after a few weeks.
