Which motherboard

This is what I am buying so far (if you have any objections please post as to why)

G.SKILL 2GB

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Conroe

COOLMAX CR-550B ATX 550W

Now, what mobo should I buy that will work with the ram and cpu? I don't want to spend over $125 but if it is worth it I will.

The EVGA 680i A1 should work, best motherboard out there IMO. I have it, and it comes with all the cables, manuals, features, etc. Extremely good board

He said he didn't want to spend over $125

The best board in that price range... has to be the Gigabyte 965P-DS3. I have its little brother (the 965P-S3) and its freaking awesome in what it can do for such little price.

Specifically the Rev 1.3, because it supports 1333FSB

Agreed. Consider spending more on one part and go cheap for another. Slowly max out your pc over time by upgrading the lower end parts when you have the money. Believe me, it's sooo much better in the long run.

definately go 680i. i would recommend the asus striker extreme. but they have an asus p5n32-e thats a cheaper lil brother of the striker. a bit more than 125 but is undoubtedly worth the money.
