He meant that you get 160% of the performance with two cards as opposed to one card, not an increase of 160%.

Running two Asus 8800 GTX cards. In source games I saw maybe 15-20 max fps increase, not huge, but my frame rate never drops below a certain number now which is much higher than it was before.

Craig is right about the FX-60 (I have one also). It really is the bottleneck. My FX-60 runs @ 3.0 GHz. I haven't had a chance to play any "next generation" games really. I played the UT3 demo and my machine absolutle destroys it. I can run everything maxed out and it's silky smooth.

Right. They were made for Socket 939 only and are the fastest S-939 CPU you can get (2.6GHz). FX-62 replaced it for Socket AM2 and the speed was bumped up to 2.8GHz.

An Opteron 185 is the same as an FX-60 minus the unlocked multiplier, although some people have reported being able to change their multiplier on 185 CPUs with certain motherboards.

You pretty much can’t find an FX-60 new these days but lots of people are selling new Operton 185s. This chip was top dog until Core 2 Duo was launched in 2006.
