Right. They were made for Socket 939 only and are the fastest S-939 CPU you can get (2.6GHz). FX-62 replaced it for Socket AM2 and the speed was bumped up to 2.8GHz.
An Opteron 185 is the same as an FX-60 minus the unlocked multiplier, although some people have reported being able to change their multiplier on 185 CPUs with certain motherboards.
You pretty much can’t find an FX-60 new these days but lots of people are selling new Operton 185s. This chip was top dog until Core 2 Duo was launched in 2006.
