Save XP!

I have no idea if this was already posted here on sR, I tried to search for it to see if it was but came up with nothing on the matter. Since I'm not sure, I'm posting this here rather than the news section.

Well, as we all know or as we all should know, M$ is killing off XP. I don't want XP to die out and stop getting serviced but that's what M$ is aiming for. I've used Vista at work and hated it so much that I sent the computer back and exchanged it for XP. I honestly can't afford to run Vista, I don't have a super rig like some of you here so it'll probably be even slower on my ancient pc.

To get right to it, over 70,000 people have already signed this petition, including me and I would like the rest of you to take part. Here's the link to the article and in there you will find the link to the petition. Everyone here should look into it and help out, it's not just some bs. I'm not the best with words so I'll leave it at that, don't be ghey and do what you should do. If this has been put up before an admin can delete this whenever possible, thanks guys.

Ummmm...You can still run XP even after MS stops providing updates. You can run Windows 95 if you want.

I know you can run it but soon after they're going to stop supporting it. If they're not selling it how long do you think it'll be till we have nothing for it? What if you build a new rig?

Windows 7 is already in beta testing. It's unreasonable to expect a company to support 3 operating systems.

Actually its in Early Planning/Alpha stages at most (M1).

People were saying the same thing about XP when it came out. It was too slow for people's Pentium 1 and 2's, with a harsh 128MB RAM reccomendation. Eventually it matured and people love it now. Same thing will happen to Vista/7, people will whine, but they will eventually be like "OMG How did we ever live without DX10.1".

XP is nice, but its starting to show its age. Just like how now less than probably %5 of people still use 98, eventually XP will have to be retired.

Perhaps worded wrong. There are people with early versions of Win 7 out there.
