| | | Vista viruses and malware In the past year and a half, I've had zero viruses and malware on my Vista machine. No hits from the AV, no spyware, no malware.
Now, I'm pretty careful what I open, what I surf, where I go, I didn't get all that much crap on my XP machines, either, but spyware definitely got through on those.
Interesting, that's all. I wonder if anyone else has had anything (that they didn't install) show up on their Vista systems.

| | | I don't think I've had a single virus or piece of spyware in the last 7+ years. This goes back to 2K, XP, and now Vista.

| Yes, prob more varied software than most people, from programming to testing, gaming, beta software, etc.

| | | i dunno. I haven't had anything on XP ever, My parents have gotten malware, but they're dopey.
I think Vista is no better than XP at this point, because user awareness is so much better than it used to be.

| | | nothing either, but i didn't get much of anything on XP as well... unless I went on some downloading spree and didn't pay attention to where it was coming from :P
I use AVG for some computers but for my main on I have symantic installed (I have it for free from work)... just never took the time to uninstall it and put AVG on it :P
