: 62 nd | | | I believe it will always get you better parts for the price when you build it by yourself.

 : 64 th | | | building it yourself is exciting!
because yo uhave ot do everything write, or it wont work, and theres a possiblity of electrocuting yourself / blowing up some parts.
its a great experience and i suggest it if you have never done it, as for 2 grand. wow, you can get a serious rig for that amount! i think you should spend ~200 on a comfortable set up, desk/chair.
if you want parts, wait for the 4850/70 =D
or possible the g280 form nvidia, they are both releasing in about a week / two weeks.
umm, intel obviously is better, but i went amd because i was on a budget and thier prices are outstanding.
i know absolutly nothing about mother boards, maybe somone has a tutorial or somthing on them? i'd like to learn about them more.
ram, might wanna go for the ddr2 1066 now, its getting popular and seems super fast. i got two gigs of ddr2 800 and i can run three different image rendering programs with no delay, so i cant even imagine the ddr2 1066.
k ive got ot put some close on.
edit, sorry this is so poorly written, just got back form the gym and im dead lol

: 78 th | | | its always cheaper to build yourself. As long as you know what youre doing. If youre not into building, look into alienware as their towers are actually very competitively priced. |

| | I would have a hard time actually filling that 2k budget while building it myself.
well not really lol, id just get VelociRaptor drives and a mad huge monitor, but u get the idea, its really easy to cut costs when building yourself, my latest was under 900 bucks, super fast and spiffy

| | | for $2000, you can do a LOT.
Do you need it only for gaming (no graphic design or anything special)? Do you need an operating system? How big of a monitor do you need? Is the monitor cost included in the budget, or do you already have one?
Give us a little bit more detail, and you can build one kickass rig with $2000. I'm thinking you could do a quad core intel build with a raptor 150GB + a big storage drive, 24" monitor with a top end GPU for that price.
Give us a general idea, and maybe we could help put together a newegg build
