Is this a decent PSU?
Newegg.com - Antec Basiq BP500U 500W ATX12V Version 2.01 Power Supply 100 - 240 V UL, CB, CE, CSA, TUV, FCC - Power Supplies

Frys has a special on this through tomorrow ($30). I know little about PSUs, so do you think this would work for a system something like this?

Dual core AMD ~2.4 GHz, 1 HDD, and a video card around these specs: Newegg.com - HIS Hightech H155F512N-R Radeon X1550 512MB 128-bit GDDR2 PCI Express x16 Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

It would work easily... is it a good psu?

for the price, yeah....

could be beefier on the 12V rail, but its an antec which means it cant be garbage, and youve got 18 amps on the first rail... for 30 bucks, and if you need a bugdet upgrade, Id pull the trigger on that one

Antec's Basiq PSU's are good. They work well for being... well basic.

most GPUs and pci cards of any value will include a converter or whatever you want to call it.

correction: it has no 8 pin pcie connector.... the older or non dual card single slot mess cards will work fine
