Deciding between steelseries qck which is really cheap looking, and same dimension s&s solo for almost twice the money. The cost i really dont care about tho, I was leery of the qck because i prefer plastic or teflon surfaces to cloth but it says its treated and the surface is actually slick, rather than silky.

Also looked at this Xtrac xtrac optical , its freakin huge, I am a low sens gamer I dont really know if the added space will help, im just kind of buyin my first gaming pad here as Ive always just used my desk.

I like super thin surfaces, and I hate friction, thats about it, which pad is for me?

Never saw much in buying a gaming pad. Been using the ones Time Warner gave me when they install roadrunner. Buddy of mine has an xtrac though. It's very smooth and huge as you noticed.

I've been using my copperhead on my desk since I got it, is it worth getting a pad? Are there any significant advantages/disadvantages?

I use these think I got it at wal mart for $6.00 wouldn't use anything else now.

Exactly my dilemma.

So many ppl say that there are, and I get the feeling that my mouse feet will last longer on a pad than my wood desk

Not bad looking gantua, Ill have to stop by wal mart and look for them, .4mm is a bit on the thick side for me tho.

Being that Im moving from a desk surface the pads I have liked are the ones thin enough where I hardly notice

This thread reminded me, I meant to write a review of the SteelSeries SP. So I went ahead and did that: here. It may not be what you're looking for, Fish, but I hear it's similar to the S&S.

O well they must have the measurement wrong on the site.... 2 sheets of paper is more like .04mm

A few of my homemade mousepads Ive had down to .08mm, but if thats the case, Ill gladly invest in one just to try it out gantua.

edit: ooooh this allsop one is hot. Designed to be shut in a laptop keyboard for transport, the specs claim .02 inches.

The fish is gonna look like such a tool actually comparing gaming mousepads at wal-mart.

Course Im sure the gay florida walmarts will be lacking alot of merchandise on the website, I really hope theyve got some wowpads in stock for me to look at.
