Only problem I've had with my Deathadder was that the USB port wasn't recognizing it.

I think your referring to a WoW pad, yeah some mice do not like them but fortunately mine does I would never use anything else now.

yeah, it definitely doesn't like my desk surface. as soon as i take off the mousepad it barely works. It's ok, I'll just take it back tomorrow and return it for a discount off of a new one. I mean, ya can't really expect it to be perfect if it's an open box item.
