it's very very odd...I could understand selling Microsoft instead of Vista (because at this point I think Vista is a lost cause on the general public, and the Apple ads are so good at destroying it)...but they're not even doing that here...and while Bill Gates is known to us (computer nerds), I'm not sure he's that recognizable to everybody...and how much involvement does he have with Microsoft anyway now that he's pseudo-retired...

probably better to have Gates than Ballmer though...

I did it get it at all.

What I did get was the Mac ad where the PC guy is in a pizza box. That's fucking golden, even if it is a Mac ad.

good commercial even if I have know Idea what it's about.
Maybe Microsoft is going to start selling a shorts adjuster.

commercials need to sell product - what product are we selling? What's the target audience? What's the intent of the commercial? What selling points does the product have?

None of these questions are answered, or even posed. I guess it's kind of funny, not really, but it's a throwaway ad.
