| | I went in to Verizon yesterday to check out the Droid. I have a phone upgrade at the end of the month. A salesperson told me to definitely wait until after black Friday. He said Verizon has plans to launch another Android phone. Doing a little digging, it looks like it could be the HTC Dragon (renamed Passion).

I've still got to trade in my storm when I go to Columbia (since they aren't assholes at that store), so this would be a sweet pick up. Ntm it looks tons better than the two they have now.

| | interesting read concerning android and motorola, and how the phone's success (if it succeeds) will be as much to do with google as with motorola... It’s Google’s world and handset makers just live in it

We don't get a Droid-like phone, we get some child's play toy of a phone. Not to mention its got ATT all over it so its worthless until somebody cooks up a ROM for it. Acer Liquid A1 unboxed, video style -- Engadget
This is the phone I hope to see in the US someday.

| | | Re: Android Phones Google Nexus One Hands On - Nexus one - Gizmodo Quote:
The Nexus One is slightly thinner than the iPhone 3GS, and slightly lighter.
The back is definitely not cheap and plasticky, like the iPhone's backing, and feels like some sort of rubbery material.
It feels long and silky and natural in your hand—even more so than the iPhone 3GS.
Even though the screen is the same size and same resolution as the Droid, it's noticeably better.
This is probably the best screen we've seen on a smartphone so far. Probably.
The Nexus One is astonishingly faster than the Droid.
[For webpage loading]...the Nexus One loaded first, the iPhone 3GS came in a few seconds later, and the Droid came in a little while after that.
