| | | That's what I was planning on, but I don't have an emulator to try it on. Alc has a PS2 presetting.

| | | uhhm you can just about forget that, ps2 emulation is still at the caveman stage, most games are not bootable, the ones that do mostly only load to menus. beleive me when i say nothing is actually playable or even close to it. try again in maybe 2 years :smash: |

| | | Heh, we tried that, Bleem does not run on XP.
If he has 98 then should be OK.

| | | ePSXe works great for ps1 games, i haven't come accross a single one that doesn't work. You'll have to go hunting for the bios though. I guess the emulator it self is legal but the bios are copywritted or something like that. But i wouldn't expect to see a ps2 emulator for a long time, if ever. It seems sony learned how to stop emulation after psx.

| | | Heh, good timing, I'd just found ePSXe and it works awsome. The only problem I'm having is that the sound on FF7 isn't, well, quite normal. Other than that, completely playable, and very enjoyable.

| | | If you don't mind me asking:
Why would you want to do this? The psx can be bought for almost nothing at Babbages or Funcoland or EB. Why not buy one and some old games and enjoy it on the machine built for it?
I have run emulators before for old PC games, but why console games on PC? The controls would either have to be mapped manually to keys or get a controller.

| To be able to pull out your notebook when bored at say... a doctors appointment, and play PS1 games. Or to play it while you are in the ****ter, or something like that. Or to be able to carry all your games in ur notebook and play them whenever, whereever, without having to carry your notebook +!!! ur PS1. | | |
