will my new lappy play games

i just ordered a gateway 200x, mostly for weight/cost/ looks. i got it with 1 512, and i just ordered another 512 from newegg. that said, will i be able to do a moderate level of gaming? im not talking like doom 3 or anything, but like maybe some low res unreal, a little cs, or like maybe some other lower key games?

by the way, its GPU is like "intel extreme graphics or something". but hey, i do have 1G of Ram. right now i have a built-pc from four years ago, with a processor ive never even heard of, a motherboard that freezes, a harddrive that wakes my neighbors up, 2x256 ram, and i can still run CS pretty decently! so maybe i will be able to run a little cs on my lappy, or some type of quality game? (crosses fingers)

on another note, i have tried running GTA (vice city i think) on my sisters lappy, which is 200 nothing bits of RAm! albeit it was like 4 fps, and i couldnt play it at all. but since my new lappy will have 4 times that much ram, im hoping i will get some decent gaming! :uhoh:

CS will run perfectly, Quake 3 engine games will run decently, anything new won't run.

GTA wont work with 256 and intel graphics, i can tell you that much, and it only gets playable with a 32 or 64mb gpu and 512mb. I played CS on a 866mhz P3 with 256 and intel 810 graphics....800*600 was very nice and smooth. On the same config GTA III was 18fps and never tried doom, and not going to. I can't to any gaming on my crap system anymore...waiting for the stupid backorder to end on all cyberpower and ibuypower models.
