| | | Hey You All Dell XPS Gen 2 Owners Hi all. My fav game is CSS. I wanted to know what kinda FPS XPS G2 owners get on their machines. Lol, right now I get max 30 FPS when I get into a firefight with one person. I'm thinking of upgrading to this sweet machine. |

| | | Hmm. With vent and xfire, antivirus, and nothing really shut off out of the ordinary, i get a steady 60 and above during intense firefights. I'd like to say that i get that all the time, but there are a couple of maps, the boat map for instance, where my frames just suck in general it seems like. Then again on the new maps and a couple of the others, i get a good 80 or so during firefights, and up to like 130 when just running around with my homies. My cousin's XPS2 with 2.13 proc and 2gb of memory gets CONSISTENTLY 10-25 FPS better at all times. We'll set up next to each other since we dont live so far away, and i'm like what you gettin now, and his is ALWAYS at LEAST 10-20fps higher. Hope that helps.
PS- Just a side note, but with the last few updates of CSS, the first one crashed my vid drivers and i had to reload the dell ones i had on there. weird. Finally, after Yesterday's updates, my GPU temp broke 75degrees for the first time on this game. crazy. it used to hover at 73 consistent during css gameplay. I think the people who saying that they get like 45degree temps during gaming are nuts, and have the wrong version of fangui running. the one that mixed up the cpu and gpu temps. anyhow.... |

When you turn the game off there is an immediate drop of 10-14 degrees celcius. I have checked and it generally runs around 85-88 degrees when I'm gaming for more than 10 minutes.

| | | How are you monitoring your GPU temperature? Is that part of the Nvidia driver settings? The Dell NVIDIA driver settings? Or are you using a 3rd party program like i8kfangui or Centrino hardware control?

| | havoc... i checked fangui's history, and it BARELY gets above the middle line between 50 and 100 celcius. i guess that means it hovers around 75. Battlefield 2 only raises it to 80. its hot, but not that hot. some maps just suck in CS and BF2 |
