    Need fellow gaming people's input

For those of you that are hard core gaming, how to you really feel the 5660 handles? Do you not miss a beat at all if gaming on your notebook? Say I was competing in a LAN for some $ would I be giving up anything taking a 5660 instead of lugging around my desktop with a GF4 ti4200, P4 2GIG, and 17" CRT? I'm very tired of lugging my desktop around but don't want to handicap myself.

Well, I play a lot of UT2K3 and QUAKE III to name a couple. If you've even owned another laptop and tried to play a game on it the 5660 will blow your mind on how far they've gone. As far as hard gaming for $ where you want every edge you can get, you shouldn't loose a beat at all. I don't really see anything that could take away from your fragging skills with your current desktop gaming.

Nope, should be no problem. The ti 4200 will edge out the radeon 9000 mobile video in FPS, but not to where it's going to affect your game running most resolutions. It's no Radeon 9700 PRO, or NVIDIA ti 4600, but unless you run all games @ 1600 X 1200 with max quality and AA enabled you shouldn't have any problems. The 17" CRT you have is probably 16" viewable and the Sager 5660 is 15" viewable, so you'll loose an inch there if that matters to you.

I run the laptop in the sig...and with the 'lowly' 7500 i still have a perfectly playable 1024x768 ut2k3 with conservative detail settings...800x600 with everything up. Not a bit of complaint from me.....expecially since this is the only game that can bring it to its knees at any reasonable resolution.
