    Display problem?

    Hey,

I have two games installed on my computer, Counterstrike, and BF1942.

My machines is a 2.4 ghz 8887 w/ the 128 mb card and 16.1" screen.

While I play both of thse games, located about 2" from the right of the screen, is a line of white squares, which is noticable, that gos from the top of the screen to the bottom of the screen.

This line Only appears while I play games...

    Any ideas of the cause?.....

it looks like the dots I have drawn above, although the squares are bigger.

Some times, the little squares are apparent through out the whole screen.. particularly when I am running cs @ 1600X1200

    Thanks for your input!

    John

I've never heard of this but it only happens in games? Have you overclocked your GPU at all? It sounds similar to the kind of artifacting you could see when overclocking although I'm not completely sure with your descripiton. Could you take a snapshot (printscreen) of the screen and see if the "sqaures" show up in the snapshot? If so can you post it up so I can see what you're seeing? If they don't show up in the image than it's probably hardware related.
