Hmm I had heard the verizon sponsored HP netbook was actually $250 with a $50 debit card that you get in return. or some nonsense

Hopefully I'll get around to writing a review of the EeePC 900A sometime soon.

I really like Ubuntu Netbook Remix. I also installed Boxee on it last night, which ran better than I thought, but still not great (I had some audio/video sync issues).

Moblin v2.0 looks like it will be pretty good.

boxee is neat, but after using it on my mac for a while i realized i simply liked the various feeds better getting them from their respective websites. hulu is a good example because their GUI and pop-out works so well.

all depends on the implementation of the feed. I'd much prefer a single source if the GUI was good.

A TV show is a show, and as long as the quality is the same from the originating site to the distributor site (Hulu, etc), then it will all depend on the user experience.

I still like the individual sites, mostly because the quality is better.

yeah, watching on a big screen demands the HD stream, even on a laptop some of the default feeds are awful in full screen.
