Dell at CES 2009

Dell finally showed their new Adamo laptop today at CES 2009:

Looks more boxy-thin like the Envy instead of taper-thin like the Air. No details on what's inside, other than "not Atom".

Anyway, the other good news is a new Mini10 with GPS, 720p, and multi-touch trackpad.

For some reason, all Dell presenters look like mobsters:

I like this picture the best...and Dell is falling flat on its face with this press event...while the Mini 10 looks very good, no word about pricing or availability...

Good news on the Adamo, its not gonna be another pushover netbook.

We just pushed them really hard for details, and all we got was that it's a "no-compromises notebook" and that's "it's safe to say it doesn't have an Atop

Hopefully its within a good price range though (sub 1K) and it will sell like hotcakes.

they labeled it their "luxury" line, so I'd guess it's in the 1200-1600 range

wrong...Adamo appears to be Dell's new "luxury" line...and will probably consist of more than just one model...I have no hope it will be under $1000...

Wow, that's a nice looking laptop. Reminds me of the MBP.

Any idea how large that screen is? I'm hoping at least 15".

I need a new laptop, my M140 is starting to show it's age.
