    Well, if Sony feels that the majority of customers don't need certain features, then I think removing them and slimming the thing down, making it more efficient, and lowering the costs accomplishes that.

    People are still fixating on the card slot and PS2 compatibility that they eliminated in 2007.

    Hmmm well so far it is missing nothing essential that I can tell you about, other than what Denny stated above.

    It is very smooth, very quiet, and runs quite cool. And yes it has 2 USB ports

    So you could just add a USB hub and still have as many ports as you want

    Yeah, but... for what? I have a controller in one and an old keyboard in another. The controllers are battery powered and only need the USB for charging. AND a lot of people get the remote charging stands. I suppose if you didn't have the remote multi-controller charger, and you did a lot of gaming with 4 people, 4 USB ports might be an advantage, but these days, I don't think it's a deal breaker.

    I would like one to put flash drives and what not in... it's a great way to watch/listen to media on your TV and through your speakers.
