    PC Hardware Deals

Since people seem to like the PC Gaming Deals thread, I thought we could use one for the hardware side of things as well. So if you come across deals that you think are particularly interesting please post them below, and don't forget that we also have a For Sale/Wanted section as well.

To get things rolling, here are two items that jumped out at me from the latest Newegg newsletter, the first is an excellent D-Link router (for both wired and wireless) and the second is a Logitech "gameboard". The router is pretty self-explanatory, but the keyboard is a bit unique as it's not a traditional keyboard but rather an accessory device with fully programmable keys and a LCD display (which can display information in-game such as ping, server, K/D, etc).

    D-Link DIR-655 Xtreme N Gigabit Wireless Router - $79 with promo code EMCYSYR63

Logitech G13 USB Advanced Gameboard - $51 with promo code EMCYSYR52 and after MIR

    Newegg.com - Antec earthwatts EA500 500W Continuous Power ATX12V v2.2 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC "Compatible with Core i7/Core i5" Power Supply

Antec Earthwatts 500W PSU $65 + $6 shipping @ NewEgg. A good quality PSU for a system that does not have video cards that require over 100Watts each card. Or for a system with a single mid range ATI/AMD video card.

Hey guys just a shot in the dark here, are any of you able to get discounted server parts? I am looking for a pair of Intel Xeon X5660 Westmere chips, if you know server parts you most likely understand why I am looking for any kind of break possible.

    Thx

I see your blood and smell your fear, I will find you.

Yeah the egg has them for 1269, I was hoping to find a 10%-20% off deal or coupon for a pair or something.

    Yeah...that's not going to happen.

I am strongly, strongly resisting the urge to get on my soapbox here.

Do it! What else are you going to do while your Steam folders transfer at USB 2.0 or less speeds.

    Re: PC Hardware Deals

You know what I want to say. Hunt3r wants his 24 threads for bragging rights. I can understand that. I've been there before. But at 2400 dollars outlay? That's 100 per thread. Map that back to the i7s we're using. We didn't pay 800 for those. It's not required. It won't run anything faster than it's running right now... except massively threaded things like Handbrake, and how much of that is anyone doing?

Don't get me wrong, it would be very cool to do, and Hunt can spend his money any way he likes. He earns it. It just boggles me
