    Vista was a complete change of architecture, manufacturers of peripherals didn't keep up or prepare for it as well as they should have.
    Vista was ok after the first service pack, but by then its reputation was already in tatters. Bit like Win 8 now

    Have Win8 on work machine now - taking a bit to get used to... but so far i'm impressed by the speed - it's faster than Win7 imho.

    Well thanks for all the replies guys .... Sound card will have to be put down the list a little then.
    New order of purchases ....

    1. Headphones (GameCom 780's will be mine soon)
    2. SSD (Likin' the Samsung 840pro series ... they're coming down in price slowly but surely)
    3. Soundcard
    System Specs
    Intel i7 870 2.93Ghz - Asus P7P55D-E LX Mobo - 8GB DDR1600
    1TB HD 7200 - EVGA Geforce 660 4GB - Ultra 750W PSU
    Shitty Keyboard / Mouse
