    Microsoft Surface Studio

Microsoft introduced their new all-in-one PC today. Frankly, it looks amazing. The display is 4500x3000, which is 63% higher resolution than 4kTV. It's got a touch screen that integrates with a touch pad when placed on the screen. This looks like the kind of innovation you used to see at Apple, but in a PC environment. We'll have to await some good in-depth reviews to be sure, but this thing looks insane.

I must say the device looks pretty freaking cool. I think the dial is a little gimmicky, but at least Microsoft is trying to come up with cool innovative ideas. I feel like Apple are slowly turning back into the just build decent devices and nothing innovative anymore. I am not an Apple person by any means, but would consider it if it wasn't so costly. I am looking at getting my wife a Macbook for her photo editing. Shes been using a computer from back in like 2006 running Windows 7 32bit and is still holding up today, but just don't want to risk it anymore.

I found it interesting that MSI has an all in one that is marketed as a gaming machine which has much lower specced mobile GPUs. I hope the creative crowd they are targeting can afford it.

Wired...oddly again... has a good article on the Surface Studio. They put forth the idea that Microsoft is leap-frogging past Apple in the arena of creative/artistic/whatever computer users and could very well lure them away from an arguably stagnant Apple Inc.

    It's a good read.
