    More help.

    Hey guys,
A few weeks ago I reformatted my computer. Since then, my processor has been running slower, and it takes much more to run games (I think) because of this, I am constantly getting lower fps in cod4, (around 40-60) whereas I normally get 70-90ish. It also uses a lot of my processor to just run stuff. Any ideas?

Tell me if I am wrong on some of this stuff, I am not to terribly computer savvy.

    Thanks
    -Fischig

are you using a laptop? if so, it could be your CPU is throttling down to save power.

if not, try making sure you have all of your fans and intakes clear of dust/debris

Alright, I'll look into that tomorrow. (I am on my laptop at the moment but the problem is with my desktop)

My guess would be to make sure you loaded all the Operating System specific drivers for your motherboard. Maybe there is a channel driver, USB, something that will run better than with the stock OS provided.

If this is a manufactored PC (i.e. Dell) check their website as well. This might save you some time.
