    A 'No Thankyou' to Microsoft

We're fairly certain we haven't heard the last of this Microsoft offer to buy Yahoo! -- or Google's plans to intervene -- but it looks like round one has Yahoo! saying "no thanks" to Microsoft's $44.6 billion buyout offer. Apparently some of the number crunchers inside Yahoo! feel like the number is too low of a valuation, while others want to get tied up with Google to improve search revenues -- which some seem to think might have some antitrust implications. Pah, "antitrust implications." At least Microsoft remembers when men were men, and monopolies were monopolies.
Hmm I am veryyyy surprised that they turned down all that loot! I'm sure it was a very hard decision but they wanted to remain in there own right, and I guess maybe have connections to Google? We will see.

I would support Google buying Yahoo... Im sure they would be willing to offer Yahoo the right price for it...

Um... have you heard of the European Union? They would have a field day if Google bought Yahoo! They have a big enough problem with MS including WMP, so Google+Yahoo! = litigation.

I agree with the news report, that this is not the last we've heard of this. if enough shareholders agree to the price, the officers have to accept it.

its not over yet...apparently a group of shareholders worth about 2 million shares is starting a drive to sell the company to MS from an internal push.

because the shareholders know better than Yang that the company is heading down, not up.
