You weep for WinXP and you curse Vista's name, but deep down in the places you don't talk about at your LAN parties, you WANT Vista on the shelves, you NEED Vista on your shelves. I don't want your updates, I don't want 64bit. I'd just rather you said UPGRADE me and went about your way... or better yet, pick up a developers kit and start building apps. EITHER WAY, I don't give a DAMN what you think you're ENTITLED TO!!!!

    I signed the petition..

    I love XP, hate Vista.

MS is trying to force us to use that shitty excuse of an operating system.

Yes, but in one case (RE for PSP) they actually listened. Granted a RE (and a GT) game should have come out for the PSP long ago.

keep XP indefinitely? makes no sense.

the quicker people move to Vista, the more people will find the issues and report them, forcing MS to fix bugs and performance issues.

It's not like you can't keep XP on your machine, once you get SP3, you'll be fine for a long time.

I have a license for both XP and Vista. I have tried Vista and love various of its features (mainly the ones to keep the system as stable as possible) and the overall goodies it adds, however, I had to switch back to XP due to some compatibility and driver issues.

I'll stick by XP for some more time, I'm thinking of jumping back to Vista by the middle of the year when drivers are more mature and SP1 is released.

For the record, I jumped from Windows 98 directly XP when it was more stable. I loved Windows 2000 as an OS just for working apps.
