That looks pretty nice; I wish I could run it without Home Server.

WHS is fantastic when you buy one of those little home servers from HP or wherever - throw a little 3Tb server anywhere in the house, do all your backups, restores, storage for all computers in the house.

those usually start at about $400 and go up from 500gb to about 3Tb storage caps.

Yeah, it is cool, but I have no need for it and can do all of that stuff for free.

The web stuff looks promising though and that's really the only thing I want. I've tried other ways to access media center recordings over the web and they have all been disappointing. Hopefully this is way better coming directly from Microsoft.

as soon as i can get FIOS or something with at least a 2mb upload, i'm going this route. i really do like the cloud concept, but having another source sitting in my house would also be nice.
