Help? Movie Maker is being dumb again...

I edited a video together and go to export it as a Mpg file, and it will get to 12% and then give me the infamous:
"Windows Movie Maker cannot save the movie to the specified Location. Verify that the original source files used in your movie are still available, that the saving location is still available, and that there is enough free disk space available, and then try again."

    1. All the files are verified...
    2. I've tried saving to my desktop, documents, downloads folder, etc. none of them work
    3. i have 453GB free space..

    so wtf

What size is the video? I was getting that exact same error. I was trying to edit something from Fraps awhile back, which are usually huge. Mine were 4GB+ and I found that after I either cut down the length or the quality of the video to lower the filesize that it would work fine. It's been a long while since I did that so I cannot remember where the threshold was where I could get it to work.

I ended up getting something better for editing.

I think there's a bug with WMM exporting files over 4GB in size. I've heard about this same error from multiple folks and it wasn't just an issue with FAT32 drives, which actually have a max 4GB file size limit.

Try Avidemux.. its free and does a lot more.

I mean I have the Nero 10 Multimedia Suite which came with a VERY nice piece of editing software.. I'm just lazy and don't want to re-edit the movie in a different piece of software..

I've exported WAY bigger movies than this before.. I just did one that was 5+ gigs a few weeks ago... this one would be 20MB after exporting it...

I hate microsoft with a passion sometimes...
