You can understand exactly how many people are actually using your application, as opposed to simply downloading it. | | | So... because you're offended by the idea of apps being monitored, and because you disagree with their data and the results (Even if their cross section is 30 million), you completely dismiss them. OK.
Sorry for offering an insight into how iPhone apps are marketed and monitored. I'll go post some more Michael J Fox pictures.

| | | It was a fallicious argument Denny. Seeing it any other way doesn't jibe, sorry. Until Apple comes out and says anything on the subject, it's just third party conjecture. |

| | | They know best about their products and how they are being used when it comes to the app store because they can tell when people download, use and delete applications.
Anyway, I'm done arguing with you about a product you don't own or have any experience with. That in and of itself should say enough about your argument. |

| | You're arguing? I was discussing this. And you're going to limit discussion to people who own the product? OK, that's what, 5 people on sR?
For the rest of you, if you're interested in Apple apps and how they're tracked & marketed, Pinch Media is a company that's done some serious analysis on the trends of free apps Vs paid apps. They're a business and their site is geared to sell you their services, but the blog page is a good read. And again, there's this slide show for app developers that shows their analysis and its results: iPhone AppStore Secrets - Pinch Media
