| | | I did read about it. I guess the advantage is if you are focused on a particular spot, and you don't need to move the camera much. For instance, if you are going to a basketball game, their example of using it by the backboard or whatever is good. Focused on one area. But, if like most people, you want to be able to take pictures anywhere on the court at a moment's notice, this thing sucks.
Any additional features it gives you via software seems interesting I guess. I mean, it takes pictures for you to do a time lapse or stop-action, but I can already do that via the cameras functions.
And you need to buy the $20 program to do anything of value. The lite is worthless.

| | | And once again, you can adjust the focus as well.
And if you wanted to point the camera at different points of actions, ...just hold it in your hands? This is remote control software.

| | | Great, I can adjust the focus on the camera.
Yeah, remote software. You can get something that plugs in to the camera so you don't have to touch it either. I guess this might be a cheaper alternative, if you already have an iPod or iTouch. So if you really want it, it's a $220+ investment.

| | | You can buy stuff that already does the same stuff. I don't see any advantage this dumb application does. Unless you have an iphone or itouch, it's not even worth a damn thing.
Just because I don't see any value in getting something like this, doesn't mean there isn't any. I just don't see any real world application for something like this for myself, or most people. I don't see the advantage this gives me over a cable release or a remote control that you can get for a camera doesn't already do?
I mean, besides being in hard to reach places, and needing to change settings, I don't see this offering anything. Behind a basketball hoop, sure. Taking family portraits, no way. I can get a cheap cable release or remote that does that.

| | | Well, obviously, this app is geared towards photographers. That might explain the confusion.
