| | | so I watched the "Black and Brown" debate in Iowa. Yes, that's what it was called.
Let's ignore the whole color thing, I'm sure the Democrats will meet for a "White" debate in Vermont or something next week.
What a brutal shitfest this debate was. Let me sum up every single question and answer:
Q: I am a victim. Being a victim is sad. I need money from you. How much money will you give me?
A: You ARE a victim, poor baby. I love you. I will give you tons of money. I will change everything. You are downtrodden. I will change it the first day of my Presidency.
The victim mentality of Democrats was in full effect. No one ever said anything about doing ANYTHING themselves, it was all "you poor victims need more money, and I'm going to give it to you". It was breathtaking. My wife was watching, too, and we just looked at each other in shock over the questions and answers at forum.
for instance, the "CEO of hip hop...." had some question about how "rappers were starting small business and record labels and what would Hillary do to help them". ??? So Hillary explains how bad the SBA is (?) and how they don't help out minority owners.
Of course, this completely denies the reality of the SBA, which provides more money to minority and women-owned businesses than any other business. It's almost not worth applying if you're not somehow "disadvantaged". And, of course, there are thousands of government contracts only available if you're a minority-owned business.
I've come to realize what this party is all about. The people who vote for them feel somehow slighted, and instead of working their asses off to make themselves successful, they want the government to give them success. and THAT'S the Democrats favorite target.
It was the most blatant, shocking display of shit I've ever seen.
If you saw the debate, feel free to let me know if you think I'm off-target.

| | | I've been screaming this for years. The democrat party has morphed into a loose association of victim groups. These groups have nothing in common other than a) wanting money from the government and b) being gullible enough to believe electing a democrat will fix all their problems.
It's been over 40 years since LBJ began his campaign of promising to fix the woes of victim groups. In the following years (decades) the battlecry is the same. "You need to elect us to fix your problems. You cannot succeed on your own. The fix is in against you. Elect us and we'll make things fair".
Minorities
Women
Environmentalists
Animal rights groups
Unions
Abortionists/stem cell research
What do they have in common? Not a thing. But they flock to the democrat party over and over because there's a promise to save them from being victims. Not a one of them seems to notice that nothing has changed.
Let's think about that.
There's a local cancer hospital, Roswell Park, that has a motto... their goal is to cure cancer and go out of business. If the democrats were sincere, that would be their motto, too. Fix the nations problems and go out of business. But if they fixed all the ills they proclaim the nation suffers, there would be no need for democrats. So, to preserve and grow their power, they merely make promises and perpetuate the feelings of victimhood.
A Republican measures success by how many people get jobs
A Democrat measures success by how many people are receiving government entitlements.
Hell, here in NY, the state government is advertising on the radio how to get signed up for food stamps. Think about that.
