| | | Tekken 5 review? I believe Tekken 5 was released today. On gamestats.com, two game sites have reviewed it. The lowest score is a 9.0
I just thought I'd comment about their review and how much BS a lot of reviews seem to be lately. They gave the game a 9.0, and yet half the review complained about the really crappy collision detection in the game, and the insane difficulty of the last guy. How in the hell can a reviewer give a fighting game a 9.0 when it has crappy collision detection? The main part of the game relies on good collision detection, yet a 9 out of 10 is a really great score for the most part. I wonder if most of these places get extra insentives for reviewing peoples games high, even though they suck?
*shrugs* ... I just found it wierd and thought I'd post about it. |

: 28 th | | | i'm techanally an expert at tekken (well close) and i must say it is a magnificent game, yes maybe some hits go haywire every once in a while but its no better than VF4 and its stuff, plus tekken just upgarded its graphics technology so they may still have a few kinks to work out but thats just my opnion, think what ever you like

| Have you played Tekken 5 yet? I never said the first few Tekkens weren''t a great games (Tekken through Tekken Tag were great), it's been the best fighter so far. I'm commenting about how BS a lot of reviews are lately, and if the collision detection is as shitty as he says, then that would be unacceptable for any fighting game. IF the collision is as bad as he says, then I don't see how he could have honestly gave it a 9.0
damn, just noticed gamespot.com has a video review of it posted. I'm recommend watching it if you haven't seen it, and haven't picked up the game yet. From what the other reviews say, I'm thinking it's a sure bet for a good game. They didn't mention the poor collision that the first guy did, and they said they took out some of the stuff that made Tekken 4 crappy. Sounds good from what the others say. |

| Thats why I never liked games like Tekken. Someone with absolutely no skill can beat you even after trying to memorize things and be proficient at the game. I miss the days where you were actually rewarded for knowing the game, now fighting games are about button mashing.
