UPDATE: Sony's released an official statement that confirms the $59.99 price tag for Warhawk, but doesn't specify what's happening with the downloadable version. For that, we'll have to wait a little longer.

The highly anticipated title Warhawk, a PLAYSTATION 3 exclusive, will be available both as a downloadable title via PLAYSTATION Network and at retail stores as a Blu-ray disc on August 28, 2007. The Blu-ray version will retail at stores for $59.99 and will be bundled with a Jabra Bluetooth headset ($39 value), bonus features and upcoming product trailers. Pricing for the PLAYSTATION Network download of Warhawk has not been announced.

Anyone play this yet? I'm thinking they said it was released today ... might not be at stores, but wasn't sure if anyone had downloaded it yet. Just wondered how well it plays, stuff like that. It got higher reviews then I thought it might get. (I think 8.8 on ign.com)

I just downloaded Warhawk, it was $39.99 and I just installed it. I'll let you know what I think after i play it for a bit.

New ps3 ... what happened to your old ps3?

I see they posted a video review on IGN for this game as well. I downloaded the lil sucker, but haven't had a chance to watch it yet. From the few video clips, it looks a lot more fun then I had initially thought it would be.
