Sometimes you have to take the bad with the good. While Naughty Dog's upcoming adventure game won't feature a multiplayer component—sticking strictly story-driven single player—it will also leave one other feature on the cutting room floor—Crate Puzzles. While Uncharted: Drake's Fortune appears to be loaded with it's clichéd cousin Exploding Barrels, you'll have to look elsewhere for block-pushing "fun."
Little is known as of now. What we do know is that Naughty Dog will not be abandoning it's platforming roots, we will see alot of jumping and acrobatics in the game. It does, however, take on a much more mature look. The gameplay has been seen as similar to Tomb Raider with a touch of Indiana Jones, and people often joke that the main character (who looks an awful lot like Jason Rubin) is called Lenny Croft.
We also know that Naughty Dog is using the advanced capabilities of Autodesk Maya 3D animation software.
GAMEPLAY INFO:
- Will have lots of platforming (jumping, acrobats, etc.)
- Is in third-person perspective.
CHARACTERS:
The main character, currently nameless, looks an awful lot like the former Naughty Dog president, Jason Rubin.
Other than that, the character is a treasure hunter who finds himself stranded in a jungle on an island as he searches for a highly valuable, long-lost cache of historical significance. He seems to be very athletic as he can scale walls, jump long distances, etc.
