According to several websites FFVII will have a remake for the PS3 in PSN using an episodic form.

-- as for it being released as the original on PSN, that's cool. I'd get it. But if they do... i'd hope that they'd just up the quality of the backgrounds as well as everything else. if they do nothing with this product that just makes me feel like they're being really lazy :P
