| It depends on what firmware it currently has, I believe you can check that in system settings. If it's 2.0 or below I would hold off on updating for a minute, because there are currently downgraders from 2.0 and below. Once you go over you can't go back (well not until they crack the later versions). Some other people might be able to shed some light on the subject. I think you need firmware 2.6 in order to play GTA, but I also remember there being some homebrew hacks in which you could play it in firmware 1.5-2.0. If you do end up updating your firmware, you will need either a wireless internet connection that your psp can connect to. If not, you can get a card reader for the pro-duo, or the psp link cable (same data cable for the razr) to get the firwmare installation files onto your psp from your computer. Hope that helps.
