The major change to the new PSP is a fashionable diet that has slimmed it by 19% and made it 33% lighter. Along with the cosmetic differences, the much-maligned battery life of the handheld is supposedly a lot longer-lasting.
In an attempt to push UMD sales (which are apparently up), the new PSP has a video output, allowing gamers to watch UMD movies, play games, or browse photos on their television.

The Star Wars PSP -- introduced in a bizarre skit at the conference with Chewbacca -- is white and features a black imprint of Darth Vader on the back. It will be released in a limited edition in October that will contain the new Star Wars Battlefront: Rogue Squadron for $199.99.

| | | I personally like the size and weight of the current PSP. It feels just right.
I like the idea of video output, though.

: 70 th | | | Well it looks like I was right with the rumors of a new PSP, its not a brand new one (PSP2) just a slight redesign of the older one. Personally I probably won't buy it, because there is no need for a thinner one (it'd probably be tougher to hold for me at least) and the fact that I already have one (well its broken but it will be finxored soon enough)

| Its not a whole new system, its just a slimming down of the hardware itself. So no better graphics (although they are the best of any mobile platform)
