| | | PSP battery I'm sorry but I just read that the PSP battery lasted less then 3 hours for most people. One person said it went for 2 hours and 47 minutes. Now if I bought a handheld console I would expect it to be able to play it for numerous hours without it dieing on me at a crucial time. This is a major turn off and probably the single most reason for not buying it, for me. What do you think about this? |

Battery life of the psp is and has been discussed in the already existing PSP threads. I believe you are just trying to start something. Quote: |

Secondly, did you realize that the GameCube is the most powerful system due to its unique and awesome texturing thanks to the Flipper card by ArtX (owned by ATi)!!!!?!??!?! I bet not. Don't come in here shooting your mouth off about Sony, with their piece of crap PS2 that they have, which cannot even keep up with XBOX, not even touching the Cube. Sure, the DS lacks some of that raw power the PSP will have, but does it have a touch screen? NO! Does it have dual screens? NO! It just has hepped up graphics!!! Sony is not inventive, they jsut copy off Nintendo's original GameBoy design, and how it functions. They couldn't invent their way out of a cardboard box, so why don't you try reading the facts before you come attack Nintendo for being a "kiddy company". Let's see XBOX2 and PS3 keep up with REVOLUTION!!! I THINK NOT!! Nintendo will pwn Sony and Microsoft this next time around, and Gates will crawl back into his Windows XP box, and keep to software and keyboards, not game systems. Sony, they can compete, but only to give Nintendo an actual opponent!!
END FLAME/...........

With that out of the way I plan on buying the DS over the PSP. And I would do it anyday. PSP just doesn't have those classic games you know you just have to get. Yeah Square-Enix may release FF7 for it but it may not even be the same. The DS has tons of games prepared to launch in Feb and it has all the Gameboy games already out. Why would somebody not want to just upgrade to just upgrade their gameboy so they can keep all their games plus new ones. Buying the PSP is pointless in my opinon. Sony as you said will be losing money most likely on each console they sell and Nintendo with that classic name and history will way out sell the PSP for sure. |

I have a question... why do you feel the need to point it out every time, wether it is in fact true or not that someone is a fanboy? wouldnt it be easier to just ignore it?
Just wondering is all... |

I want to prove that this guy is only trolling, by trying to start some sort of flame war or something. Also, what is wrong with pointing out that someone is a fanboy? I spend a large large portion of my days here on the forums, typing one post is nothing, so I really wouldnt gain anything from ignoring it/them.

Did you forget to mention that's with sound maxed as well as screen brightness?
Did you also forget to add the part at the end where they tested it with 50% brightness and 50% sound (which is fine for anyone, trust me i've seen it) and it lasted over 6 hours?
"Just as FFD departed the train at 10:40AM, the batteries died. So there you have it -- out of the box, fully charged battery, 50% screen brightness, 50% volume, six hours and three minutes. Please stop whining about the battery life now. If one more person says "Well, what if I'm on a plane trip overseas?" I'll scream. In that case, I say this: be a little more careful with your travel agent, save a little money, and buy another battery."

| | | The unit looks really sweet on those pics. I prefer not to think about the battery life. Most of the time I'll be at home and jacked into the outlet and the few instances I may take it out, it'll be an hour trip, two tops.

I really would have liked to know what game he was playing. I'm sure an intensive 3D game pushing the hardware would drain more of the battery life. Also, Is gameing time the same as movie viewing time? |

| | | If you read the article, it says they played a little Mina No Golf, and mostly Ridge Racer, with wireless. This proof is not entirely scientific, however, since they were playing in a McDonalds while falling asleep/eating/going to the train/etc...
Still, since the first post uses this source obviously (the 2 hours 47 min is taken directly from their first use with max settings) I can use the same source to refute it. | | |
