Well, importing the PSP now would cost you 279USD for just the machine, no value pack

The value pack is 299USD...I wouldn't really squabble over the 20 bucks, unless you're willing to wait it out.

Also remember that if you get dead pixels on an import, you're screwed.

so if the japanese psp is region free but the US psp only plays north american games and videos, then wouldn't it be better to buy the japanese import?

as i understand it, games are region free the umd movies are not, so while you can play games from anywhere if you have a NA psp you can only play NA movies and JP PSP only plays JP region coded movies, thats how i heard atleast.
