Age of Empires III resolutions

Hi everybody. Well, I just installed the demo of AoE III on my Acer 8104. It's going pretty well (I also have the newest omega drivers installed).

But I have a question. If I don't wanna play the game in native resolution (1680x1050) because I might want to turn up shadows instead, what resolutions shall I choose if I don't want to have a distorted picture? How can I determine which resolutions would fit my screen without streching?

Also, if I have a native resolution of 1680x1050 that means I have a 15:10 screen size (or was it 16:10???).

I'm kind of confused here.

I would appreciate any help.

Thanks.

And how can I tell which resolutions are in 16:10?

Please correct me if I'm wrong but would that make sense if I can divide the first number in the resolution (e.g. 1680x1050) by 16 and the second part (e.g. 1680x1050) by 10 then that resolution should fit my screen without any streching?

I think I found the answer for my own question.

If you can divide the first part of the resolution (1650) by 16 and multiply that number by 10 you'll get resolution that would fit your widescreen perfectly (assuming it is 16:10). If there are no such resolutions stated in the game you should find at least the closest.
