| since it's legal to make 1 backup I'll tell you how. You dl the free Alcohol 120% trial version that lasts 30 days. Next find a utility to determine which version of securom your cd has. use that info when burning. load your war3 cd, and choose image making wizard. pick securom new 4.x i think (google alcohol 120% warcraft 3 burn and there should be some walkthroughs) and start to burn. Do it at a slow speed to reduce errors. Once that's done, you load a cdr/cdrw and choose burn image to cd. you make sure you have the war3 image you just ripped selected. Then start the burn using the securom new settings and twinpeak or something. google it to find out the details, the info is out there, but I got it to work easy enough. One thing tho, dl daemon tools and enable all emulation in the system tray after the alcohol 120% trial period expires otherwise it won't work.
both of you won't be able to play on bnet, for that you would need two working cd keys, but for LAN i think it will work. hope that helps, happy burning!
