It's official, today the announcement was finally made.

They have said that it will come out in the second half of '05

Wow, that amazing graphics! Never played the series though..Is it like the Command & Conquer series?

the age of empires series is my favorite of all time. I played the first 2 like it was my job, and cannot wait for this to come out. Officially on the top of my want list.

Play style is similar, but a much better experience, IMO.
