Blizzard said that it is not in development but that they will revisit the Starcraft universe for sure (not refering to Ghost)

Starcraft is 7 years old on the 1st...I guess that makes it ALMOST a decade

It's a fantastic game and is very well done. I don't play it anymore, but I remember when it was king of the RTS genre (some say it still is).

I would personally love to see Starcraft II made....[drool]

RELEASED APRIL 1 1998
http://www.gamerankings.com/htmlpages2/25418.asp

"When Blizzard Entertainment released Starcraft in 1998..."
http://www.gamespot.com/gamespot/fea...starcraft.html

"It's early 1998 and Bill Roper and his team at Blizzard are putting the finishing touches on their first full-scale space strategy game, Starcraft...And on April 1, 1998 this truth became apparent with the release of one of the most popular strategy games ever made."

I remember getting Starcraft on April 1st 1998...so many hours spent in front of my AMD K6 200mhz playing on Battle.net...

Warcraft II was release in 1995...remember that

the funny thing is all the newest patches are mainly for the Korean market.

I really hope that when they "revisit the StarCraft universe" it is still a real time strategy game. these games are my favorite and I hope they are not planning a Role playing game in that universe like Worlds of StarCraft. That may be fun since it seems that a lot of people are really likeing the WoW. But for me I would like to continue to see some more RTS games from them. I loved the gameplay and the humor they used in thier games.I have been playing many different RTS's lately and none are as funnny or entertaining as the Blizzard titles.

Skeletor pwns without cheats!
I read in a video mag about 2-3 months ago that a group of developers was working on making Starcraft with the Warcraft III/espansion engine. From the pics, it looked fantastic. They were talking about how far they've got with the project, and if blizzard would even allow it to be sold and such if they ever finished it.

Would not be a new game, but would be cool to have Starcraft with rehauled graphics.
