Does Warcraft III support wide screen?

Does Warcraft III support wide screen resolutions, or will all end up looking funny stretched on a wide screen laptop?

there are two widescreen resolutions that are useable on my lappy. I only have an XGA native res so i use the 1280x800. Looks awesome though.

I had to edit the registry to run mine in 1280x800. There was no option in the game for me to select 1280x800. The HUD looks a little stretched nothing too bad.

it supports widescreen on my lappy no problem. i didnt have to edit or install anything special. just run it and choose one of the widesceen resolutions.

I had to edit my registry as well to get 1280 x 800 resolution. Voodoofreak, do you have your video settings set to stretch to fill screen?

yes, it does support widescreen. i use it in 1440x900. looks sweeeeeeet.

Make sure Warcraft 3 is fully patched to get the widescreen resolutions. At least that was the way it worked on my Powerbook. And it did stretch, but didn't seem quite as annoyning as some games being stretched.

I'm patched to 1.18, the latest patch I can find. In the video options 1024 x 768 is the max resolution - thus the registry edit.

I'm patched to 1.18 as well, no 1280x800 listed...had to registry hack it
