Need Help In Rome:TW

The senate told me to negotiate with the Gaul and to let them surrender the settlement. I sent my diplomat in the settlement but when I talked to the leader of the Gauls, I couln't see an option for them to surrender. If any of you played Rome TW and had a mission like this b4, I need some assistance. Also, the only faction that is threatening me is the Egyptians. I have a very good ecomnomy and a very good army. I fought them before, but I lose a lot of men because of their damn chariots. I am using the Scipii and I'm wondering what's the best unit to use for the Egyptian chariots?

To negotiate the settlement you'll have to wait until theres no high ranked non-bribable characters in it. You are probably trying to negotiate surender with a royal family heir, and they usualy cant be bribed/intimidated.

Just wait for him to leave that town, and try again. You should be fine then

As for Egyptian chariots they are over-powered and have been toned down in previous patches and mods. The best way to get them is to take them down from a distance with archers or skirmishers.

And if you dont know the Rome total war golden unit exploit yet, here it is :
Your army should only be 1 heir unit and the rest should be wardogs... all of them...

Wardogs are overpowered like hell, they can take down entire capitals filled with top rank units without a single casuality
So try that out

THx a bunch. I didn't know that wardogs are really good. I've never used them b4 and I think there were high rank characters in the settlement so thx for the tips. As soon as I got the message from the senate, I immediately moved my diplomat in the area since I dont want to upset those damn senators. My influence in the senate floor went down due to those damn rebellious carthaginians. I already had their settlements but they ended up rebelling against me so I had to massacre them. O yea one more question... what if those egytian chariots charged my infantry. What should i do? Should I use the Testudo to protect them? They usually rout when my infantry gets attacked by them.
