Recommend a RPG please

Im trying to decide which PC Rpg to pick up. My choices are World of Warcraft, Guildwars, Final Fantasy 11 Online, Elder Scrolls: Morrowind or Fable the lost chapters(might be wrong with the name of Fable).

I want a game that will last a really long time. The cheaper the better(online costs).

Online play will be limited to my 56k dial up, so Im wondering do any of these games require me to download HUGE patches or upgrades?

About Morrowind does that first person perspective suck? I kind of want to play fable more but everyone praises Morrowind so much. Im a big RPG'er so I dont think the first person perspective would turn me off as long as the gameplay is awesome, I just dont know which too get.

Im thinking I'll lose interest in Guildwars since it only lets you level up to Lv20. Im really thinking about FF11 because I love final fantasy and it just sounds better than the other MMORPGs', but everyone seems to like World of warcraft, is WoW really that good? Do you know which MMORPG offers a better online gaming experience, as in easy too find party members, friendly community, lots of interaction, and the ability to play Solo? So which would you guys recommend for my first PC RPG? Maybe I should buy one Online Rpg and one Off line Rpg, lol. Who knows. Thanks for any help.

All I know is that yes there are huge patches for WoW that would take days to download on a 56k. I don't knoq anything about the other games, but I loved Fable on XBOX and I would suggest it. After the game ends you still have a chance to become the strongest character possible, which will give the game some longevity (kind of like Kingdom Hearts, where after the final boss fight you can still roam and level up to fight that guy from a earlier Final Fantasy game that you have to be at level 70 to beat, which helps add longevity to that game as well).

From what I see on my roomate's computer, WoW is a great online experience because, unlike BF2, there isn't much lag at all (BF2: it seems like bullets don't register sometimes). You need a Cable or DSL connection to enjoy MMORPG's period.

Thanks Hallama2002(Nice to meet you Andrew)

Do you know if I could go to a library or something like that, that has DSL or cable, download the patch onto a 1gig jump drive then transfer the patch from the jump drive to my PC? Thanks for your input.

Andrew

you could do that. Little more work, but effective. Guild Wars isnt that bad. I have it and play it when I have time to sit down.

Morrowind does have the option for third person camera and you should be able to pick it up pretty cheap nowadays. If you would like it, it could keep you busy for a while (especially if you get the game of the year edition).

You're a brave man trying to play any of those games on dial up...

Have you tried any of the Dungeon Siege series? There's DS1, legends of Arrana expansion, and now DS2. You can play co-op mode over LAN...

I know I mentioned this in your other post, but NWN or Guild Wars gets my vote. WoW doesn't sound that great and the monthly fee is terrible I played Morrowind and thought it was great as well. I am becoming a bit of a Guild Wars addict, and there is at least half the game left by the time to reach lvl 20 (depending on how you play). Plus, the devs are always adding stuff. And even if you feel your adventure is through, there is much PvP and GvG to be had. If you are like me, you will want to unlock EVERYTHING which takes a lot of game time (not that I have done that yet). if you pick up GW and it doesn't work on your connection, I know that NWN will. If you are a true RPGer and have never played Baldur's Gate, I would give it a try. Baldur's I & II are the best games I have ever played. Period. These also have an online option, though I don't know how many people still play them (BGI released in 1998).
