| I suspect (hope?) that the developers will follow the "choose your poison" scheme--for those who want to "rough it" and be as realistic as possible, they can cover ground on a planet at, say, 100 mph, taking hours to go across a continent.
For the 98% rest of us, they'll have hypersonic transports/superfast spaceships/teleportation/whatever.
