I beta'd Lineage II and laughed my ass off when the vampires started running all hunched over. Lots of Weak Sauce.

For those that have played this, is there much variety in the looks of different moves? Is there cool magic effects?

From the looks of the movies, it looks like every character IGN stuck in them was melee based, and all they did was swing over and over.

Sure, I realize these games are just a grind, but compared to WoW for example, even the fighter in WoW has a variety of moves that look a bit different. They have shouts of various types, etc. I think one of the warriors in the video for LotR Online, the fighter looked like he did a shout, but his swings were all relatively the same.

I'm actually hoping for the best, which is why I'm curious on what they are offering. From the movies it looks like you have a world full of Warriors and Archers. I can't imagine how bland WoW would be with no magic, which is what the movies are making this game look like (from the 4-5 that I've seen anyway)

let's all remember that this is a beta...there may not be full resolution characters and world textures yet to keep the server load low on their end.

No I am mad cause this is an MMO where I still can't make a toon that looks like he is Chinese!

Not sure why people don't like it *shrugs* been playing it for quite a while now and I rather enjoy it ...actually, since I've been able to play it I haven't even touched my WoW account and i'm still debating if I should cancel it or not. Only run into a few problems now and again but that's just from the BETA (not being able to go through doors and all that stuff) - oh, and I played the first stress test and I never lagged once either (they asked me back to play the beta after that) and it runs just as well as WoW but with much more eye-candy. Its very purdy!

I am also on beta for this. This is another cookie cutter MMO that seems to be riding on the WOW game play. It isnt very challenging or entertaining to be honest. If some people are interested and i can get a following i am looking to start a strafe right EQ1 revival....i am in college so i wont be able to get super hard core like i did in the day (6-10 hr raids), but i can assure you guys who havent played this game i can give you the tour and get you passed the learning curve to make a great eq experience....
