I use XP so I've never used the DX10 settings. I don't recall even seeing screenshots comparing the two.
BetterOff and I both play on Arkenstone.

| | Think the dx10 is pretty amazing, and It makes having vista worth it .The shadows really make the game pop, as well as adding even greater detail.

| | Cool, but without seeing them side-by-side, it's really hard to get an overall grasp of the impact.
The only areas graphically where DX10 has anything over DX9 are shadows and volumetric lighting. The rest of the changes are all internal.
I can definitely see some lighting and shadows in that screenshot that I don't ever remember seeing in my game. Looks great, but I still don't think I'd jump to Vista just for that.

| | | Looks pretty cool, but I don't have a dx10 card ATM. I'm a sucker for pretty graphics, but its a moot point inside the Ettenmoors, where even medium settings provide almost unplayable frame rates.
I have a dual boot of Vista, but haven't really touched it after seeing the terrible gaming performance on some older games like BF2. I'll consider vista again once I get a dx10 card.
Dope you should come to the Ettenmoors sometime. Rolling creeps is sweet!

Also, I should note that you may not use this code in your own applications. If you want to reduce a variable by 89, you'll have to find another way to do it.

| | | Yeah, The Etts is more intense in when you have a good number running around, On the server I'm on it is usually 1.5 raid groups vs 1..5 raid group , so there is about 48 100 people in the zone at once, so I also just throw the game into high and adjust the shadowing , that way my Rank 4 Black Arrow gets some clean shots off.
Dod you guys hear about the new Xpack, Mines of Moria, I can;t wait !

What do you think about Troll/Ranger sessions? I think it just messes things up and makes it harder to gain renown. For some reason many find if more pleasing to camp grams than to take another keep and camping is really lame.
