: 54 th | | | Anyone play Guild Wars? Spring break just started and trying to find something else to play other than cs:s all day and all night. I have the original GW and they always preached how they would never require you to buy the expansions. So does anyone still play? still fun if you didn't spend the money to buy the expansions?

| | | I played it when it first came out. Couldn't really get over the facts that you couldn't jump, or run off ledges greater than an inch in height.
Am interested to see how it is these days too, though. Was thinking about it just last night.

| | | Hey, I just found this thread. I played Guild Wars when it first came out and stopped playing about a year and a half ago. I just reinstalled it last night and I am playing again. I only have the original Prophecies campaign. Anyone else out there actually still playing?

: 83 rd | | | i have the original (is that prophecies?). stopped playing becuase i found it kind of boring. i was in a guild, and we actaully bought a guild hall for some reason. then i quit and i came back like...10 months later and i was promoted to guild leader and there were five other people there, none of whom had logged in 6 months. so i kicked them all out and now i am the guild leader of a one person guild with a crappy name and crappy guild cape.
i havent logged in for a while, but have been thinking about just installing it a screwing around until i buy another game. my highest character is level 14 i think. i was in the snow area, trying to do that campaign with the henchmen, but they were to stupid. anyway, i'll install it and f@@k around.

| | | Well, I started playing again and I think I might be getting back into it. I started a new character named Killbot Poisonfist if anybody is interested in looking me up.
Guild Wars 2 sounds really promising, persistent world, seamless server transfer, jumping and tree climbing, no subscription fee.

| | They are currently working on another Guild Wars expansion that is supposed to come out next winter.
There is an interview about Guild Wars 2 at Kotaku. Quote: |
