Warcraft 3 cd key fine without cd???

Theres a guy on ebay selling warcraft 3 cd keys, but this don't make sense to me. With Valve games I get it cause you can download the game off steam, but I don't believe Blizzard does anything like that? Could someone in the know clear this up for me, whether or not I can get the game with just a cd key and no discs. thanks

Just go to a store and buy the game. Do not post any links to this crap in the NBF gaming forum.

The guy's probably using an illegal key-maker and selling them to people that don't know better. Can't think of any legal ways that someone could sell CD-Keys and not have the original discs to sell w/ them.

Simple... for people who arldy have WoW installed from either the open beta or a previous install in which case it would be iilegal..

I played in open beta and ordered WoW to be shipped to my friend in the states. Then he emailed me my key. Simple as that

However, on e-bay it does sound kinda fishy

Well, you can always download the iso's off of a P2P network or bit torrent them. I don't think that would be illegal since he is buying the CD Keys...

Well,

He's not buying the keys from Blizzard. So, the money is going to some "dude" out there who is profiting quite illegally from Blizzard's man-years of work. Unless, the Ebay seller somehow got a huge discount for buying a bunch of keys bulk from Blizzard (HIGHLY DOUBTFUL) and is now auctioning them off.

However, this is most likely an illegal venture and the key probably won't even work on Blizzard's servers.

What?? I didn't post any link, this isn't any adverstisement for anything I was just wondering if Blizzard had a direct download service like valve does, 'cause i'm not in the know about that kinda thing, haven't played any blizzard games before, and it didn't make any sense to me either. If this anger is from the post about the half life platinum pack for $9.99 that was perfectly legal and legit, and u coulda sent an email or a pm~~~thx

His selling the CD key for online play. This basically implies that you downloaded the game, and you want to play online now.
